The lady at the desk told us of that when many people come to the nursing home as patients they feel as if they had no purpose for living and just waited for death. This man was one of these patients. He had confessed to the lady at the front desk how he was feeling useless in his life. She had asked him,
“Well perhaps you can do something to help teach the next generation.” He had replied that he knew how to draw. After being encouraged by the lady to teach youths how to draw, he started his art classes. So me signing up for his classes helped him with his purpose. That’s just one of the ways God can work. He can make the small things we do bring light to someone. Who knows, maybe Mr. Arnold inspired somebody in the nursing home to also have purpose. We can’t limit how God works and think we know everything he’s going to do.
