Happy New Year’s Day! Or happy day after new year’s or whenever you’re reading this lol!
With the beginning of a whole new year, a whole new season, we are handed a blank slate. A chance to start over, do better, be awesome! Some of you have written out resolutions declaring “I’m gonna eat healthier” or “ This year I’m going to lose weight.” We promise to chase our dreams, do better at school and just be a better person all-around. And these resolution’s can be great! But too often, I see people making these huge, elaborate plans centered around secular goals, while totally forgetting to set up spiritual goals as well!
Isn’t that crazy!
Woah. I look over my shoulder and all I can think is “Where did the year go???” As I get older, time seems to fly faster and faster, hurling us into “Infinity and beyond!” Memories become more precious and friends become greater joys, but the ticking becomes scarier and scarier. Every move of the clock signifies a loss of yesterday’s familiarity and a thrust into the unknown of tomorrow. College, jobs, relationships, loans, and not to mention doing your own laundry! As I stare two thousand and seventeen years in the face, I can’t help wishing I could back away. Just one step back. Please?

These foods are all popular and accessible and can totally transform your hair and health with no stress and effort!
On Christmas day, youth around the world will make a sudden and scary transformation into morning birds. After dragging their parents out of bed and gathering them around the Christmas tree, they will have the moment that we have all been waiting for- gift opening! With all the excitement and drama of presents, it might sound kinda cliche to remind kids like me that Christmas is about more than wrapping paper and stocking stuffers. But … it’s kinda true. Christmas is about Jesus! But, as a kid, should this realization dim my excitement now that the spotlight has shifted from my little corner of the universe? The very opposite! Because Christmas is a vibrant message to God’s next generation, portraying how the King of the Universe sees you, loves you, and will use you, no matter your age. With Him, you can do some stinkin’ awesome stuff.
Take Samuel for example:
