Don’t you love it when life gives you a break? No fights with your parents, you're finally passing in school, your friends are all getting along and you just feel good being you. But a friend asked me, “What does my faith mean when my life's so breezy?” Those times when you don't need STUFF from God can make you feel like you don't need HIM anymore. It feels like faith is only for when you're poor, or in bad situations, or can't pass algebra. What does our Christianity mean in the good times? Here are some scriptures that perfectly sum it up.
These are sooooo for me. Really, they’re for everyone, even if life isn't treating them so sweet. Just remember that scripture that says “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:4
Our faith means thankfulness.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.
Our faith means preparation.
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Our faith means hiding God's word in our heart.
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
These are just a few scriptures that add so much depth to my relationship with God. Jesus’ sacrifice wasn’t just for the bad days. It’s for every day, 24-7!
