I can’t believe I’ve been a natural hair blogger for almost four months now, and have never done an article on twist-outs! Twist-outs are probably one of the most popular natural hair styles and have been my go-to throughout the entire whole school year. However, one thing I’ve struggled with concerning my twist-out was keeping my strap length hair from shrinking around my ears....
I’ve worked hard for my length, and sometime I just wanna show it off!
After years of mastering ways to achieve shiny and defined twist-outs, I’ve also figured out how to get my twists to hang around my shoulders instead of curling around my ears. And it’s so easy!
There are several popular methods to stretch natural hair, from bunning, banding, braiding, and twisting. I realized, “Why don’t I apply some of these methods to stretching out my twist-outs!” Here's my method
Tutorial for Elongated Twist-Outs
It’s that easy! This method has added that little bit of length that can make a whole lot of difference. Not only does this method elongate your twist-out, but it also adds extra body. Of course, it you want a fluffy twist-out, this method won’t give those results. I can’t wait until I have the length and thickness to have to have a poofy AND long twist-out. Until then, I love how this method gives the ability to at least chose a longer look. :)
